Pro zmenšování neabrazivních vzorků bez těžkých kovů jsou k dispozici mlecí nástroje z čistého titanu.
Druhy kruhových sít:
- Síta s vyztuženým okrajem:
Používá se k rozmělňování tvrdých vzorků, které síta velmi namáhají. Vyztužený okraj slouží ke stabilizaci sít.
- Distanční síta:
Ideální pro mletí vzorků, které obsahují tuk, jako jsou některé druhy obilí nebo olejnatá semena. Ze vzorku se uvolňuje méně tuku, což znamená, že se neusazuje a síto se neucpává.
Distanční síta ponechávají mezi rotorem a sítem mezeru, která podstatně snižuje střižný účinek. V důsledku toho dochází k menšímu zahřívání, a proto jsou tato síta vhodná pro zpracování vzorků citlivých na teplo.
Distanční síta lze použít i pro kryogenní mletí.

Použití cyklonu se doporučuje pro zpracování objemů vzorků> 300 ml, jelikož generovaný proud vzduchu nese vzorek z kazety s výstupem do láhve vzorku nebo sběrné nádoby s max. objem 5 l.
Navíc se vzorek ochladí, což je obzvláště výhodné pro materiály citlivé na teplo. Použití vysavače má větší chladicí efekt než filtrační sáček.
Cyklon je také vhodný pro chlazení malých objemů vzorků.
