Rotor types:
- 6-disc rotor with replaceable and reversible tungsten carbide plates:
acts like a shredder; especially suitable for medium-hard materials
- Parallel section rotor:
acts like an axe; especially suitable for soft, elastic and fibrous materials
- V-rotor (for SM 300 only):
acts like scissors; especially suitable for tough, soft and fibrous materials, improved grinding efficiency and sample discharge

suitable when abrasion of heavy metals is a problem, e. g. when the heavy metal content is to be analyzed
